DAY
1:LIMA - PUERTO MALDONADO "JUNGLE" Transfer
to the airport, arrival to Puerto Maldonado and you will be meet by your Naturalist
guide. And transferred to the lodge by a dugout canoe for the trip up the Tambopata
river. On the journey the vegetation changes from colonized deforested areas to
virgin rain forest. In the afternoon you set off an introductory walk to the "Terra
firme" dominated by giant Brazil-nut and Dipteryx trees. Frequently seen
mammals on this trail are Saddle-back Tamarins, Brown Capuchins, Agoutis, Toucans
and many other species of birds. B.L.D.
DAY
2 : PUERTO MALDONADO After an
early breakfast we will board the motorized canoe once again to begin a morning's
exploration by foot and paddle canoe of the lake system of Condenado,rich in bird
and aquatic life. Birds abound specially Rufescent Tiger-herons, Great Egrets,
Wattled Jacanas, the noisy Donacobius and many others, return to the lodge for
lunch in the afternoon is free for exploring the forest close to the lodge. After
dark you will go serching for caiman (alligators) and other nocturnal animals
by motorized canoe along the Tambopata river. B.L.D.

3: PUERTO MALDONADO - CUSCO A
dawn start is required for the canoe trip back to the airport giving memorable
views of the sun rise over the river. Lookout for the early morning wildlife wich
is particulary active at this time.Howler monkeys are frequently heard as they
stakeout their territories. then fly t Cusco. Free afternoon. to relax and adjust
to the altitude.

4:CUSCO In the afternoon visit to the Main
Square, Cathedral, Koricancha, palace and the nearby Ruins as Kenko, Puca Pucara,
Tambomachay Fortress: Hostal. B.L.D.

5: INCA TRAIL MACHUPICCHU "PISCAK'UCHO
- HUAYLLABAMBA" Early morning transfer to the head of the trail
where we begin our trek, escorted by native Quechua porters. From Piscak'ucho
we hike along the Vilcanota River, with magnificent views of Nevado Veronica:

6:CLIMBING TO LLULLUCHAPAMPA We climb through
magical polylepis forest to high camp at Llulluchapampa 3600 mts. Today is one
of the most demanding days of the trip as we gain a lot of altitude, the first
pass at 4200 msl. Offers views to the Huayanay peaks and west rugged Vilcabamba
Range. We descend to our camp Runkurakay. B.L.D.

7:SAYAQMARCA - WIÑAYWAYNA We cross the second pass at 4000 msl.
And follow a fine Inca highway to the restored townsite of Sayaqmarca. We descend
rapidly from cloud forest into high Jungle habitat, Orchids and hummingbirds are
common along this spectacular section of the trail high above the river. The Inca
Trail in this section is a white granite path going through a high temperate zone.

8:WIÑAYWAYNA - MACHUPICCHU - CUSCO After an early wake up we emerge
at the gate of the sun for our first view of MACHUPICCHU from high above the City.
Finally we arrive to the misterious ·Lost City" in the afternoon we
return by train to Cusco. Hostal. B.

9:CUSCO - FREE DAY Free day at leisure. B.

10:CUSCO - PUNO A spectacular bus ride takes us to Puno up into the altiplano
where you'll see snow capped peaks and local farmers looking after their herds
of llamas and alpacas. We'll arrive in Puno. Transfer to the Hostal . B.
DAY
11:TITICACA - ISLANDS A full day visit to Uros floating Islands. In the
afternoon visit to Taquile Islands. Return to Puno. B.L.

12:SILLUSTANI TOMBS - JULIACA - LIMA Morning visit to Sillustani Tombs,
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima. Arrival and transfer to the Hostal.
Afternoon free. B.

13:LIMA - INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT In the morning, transfer to the airport
for your international flight.
